
Artem Nikitenko is a composer and pianist. He is the winner of the Piano Composition Competition at “The Golden Key Music Festival” (New York, Diploma in First Degree, January 2010), the International Savshinsky Music Competition, St. Petersburg, First award, the International Young Composer’s Competition, “Maestro” (Simferopol, Laureate in Second Degree), and the International Festival and Competition in the Creativity of Children and Young People, “The Window to Europe” (First prize, St. Petersburg, 2007). He was also awarded a grant from the President of the Russian Federation (2010) and a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
Artem Nikitenko was born in 1993 in Orsk. He has been studying piano since the age of 6, and he started composing when he was 8. Today he is under the tutelage of pianist, Ivanova Galina Yevgenyevna, and he is studying composition with Bessonova Tamara Petrovna in the Orsk Arts College.
On the 2nd of July, 2001, Artem Nikitenko performed in the Concert Hall of Anna Akhmatova (St. Petersburg, Tsarskoye Selo). The program included the works of the modern composers as well as his own works.
